Whitesands Lodge is situated opposite the South West coastal path with the surrounding area full of exciting activities and attractions to see and do. With the sea right on our doorstep it offers a wide range of water sports to do from surfing and kayaking to diving and kite boarding, with fully qualified centres offering varying levels of tuition for beginners to experienced alike. There’s deep sea fishing, boat trips and sailing for those who wish to keep there feet a little drier, along with horse riding, go-karting and paint balling but to name a few.
You’ll never be bored whatever the weather and if you feel the need for a more leisurely round of golf, the gym, or a swim, Cape Cornwall Golf Club is only a few miles away. You night owls can venture out into Penzance or St. Ives and visit many of the pubs and clubs until the wee hours.
For those of you needing a little more chill factor the local attractions range from art galleries, gardens and estates to local tin mines and historical monuments such as merry maidens, Carn Euny ancient settlements and burial grounds. The Minack (open air theatre), St Michael’s mount and Lands End are all steeped in history and natural beauty attracting visitors from around the world. With Lands End airport only 1 mile away you could take an awe inspiring scenic flight or head to the Scilly Isles on the skybus to realise we are situated in one of the most beautiful places on earth. |
